Child Sponsorship

Did you know that only 26% of Cambodian children who are of official age for secondary education are enrolled in school? (1)

Although the government of Cambodia has pledged to provide free elementary education to all children, informal school fees and costs of school supplies continue to be barriers to education for children from poor families.  As a result, Schools for Children of Cambodia sponsors poor students who are academically-inclined graduates of SCC-supported primary schools to continue their education at the secondary level.

As a sponsor, for just £12.50 a month your student is provided with uniforms, school bag, pens and notebooks  and other supplies as well as the means to pay their class and exam fees. In return you can expect annual reports on their progress which is monitored by regular home & school visits by SCC, also providing them with encouragement.

If you would like to become a sponsor please fill in the Standing Order form and return it to your bank.

In addition, if you are a UK resident tax payer your money can be made to go further. Just fill in the GiftAid form and return it to us so that we can claim back the tax you have already paid.

Finally, please complete as much of the Child Sponsor Contact form as you wish so that we can keep you informed of your student's progress.

Please return the forms by post to 107 Guilford Street, London, WC1N 1DP, United Kingdom or by email to info@schools4cambodia.org

Schools for Children of Cambodia would like to thank you for your contribution on behalf of the student whose life you are changing through education.
